Terms of Use
This agreement (a free-of-charge accession agreement) sets the rules of taking part in the community and the conditions of using the site. By signing up and using the site you confirm that you have read and accepted these conditions.
What this site is
The site is a non-commercial community of interest for people who like to exchange postcards. It helps to find someone to send a card to and to confirm that it arrived. The site is not a postal service and takes no part in delivering postcards.
Sign-up and profile
You need a working email address and a password. One person: one profile. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your profile. If you are under 18, use the site only with the consent of your parents or legal guardians.
The postal label
You do not type your address on the site as text. You create a "postal label" - a graphic image with your name and address - in your own browser. Only a transformed and encrypted snapshot of this image is sent to the site and stored. When a member has to send you a card, they get access to the label only for the time the postcard is on its way: once its receipt is registered, access is closed. You can erase your label at any time on the "My postal label" page. You decide what to write on the label and may give the "poste restante" address of your post office. You confirm that you may give this data and agree that the image you created will be shown to a random member for sending a postcard.
Exchanging postcards
Send cards on time and confirm receipt as the rules say: you have 14 days to press "I sent it" and 80 days for a sent card to be registered. The site does not guarantee that a card will be sent, delivered or received and is not responsible for the work of the post, lost or delayed mail or the actions of other members.
Photos and texts
By uploading photos and texts you confirm that you hold the rights to them and allow the site to store them and show them to other members according to your settings. The administration may moderate (check) uploaded material before or after its publication, but the full responsibility for the lawfulness of an uploaded image or text lies with the member who posted it. Do not post anything the law forbids, anything that infringes copyright, other people's personal data, or pictures of strangers and documents.
What is forbidden
Breaking the laws of your country, as well as the laws of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation; posting political campaigning or extremist, pornographic or shocking material; insulting, humiliating or threatening anyone; sending ads and spam; giving another person's address on a label without that person's consent; copying, passing on or publishing other people's labels or using them for anything other than sending a postcard; keeping several profiles; trying to get around the protection of the site or to reach other people's data.
Moderation and restrictions
The administration may remove material and restrict or close a profile for breaking the rules and these terms, also without warning. You can contact the administration at the address at the bottom of the page.
Liability
The site is provided "as is". The administration is not responsible for interruptions of the site, for indirect losses, for the content of labels, photos and texts created by members, or for the actions of members. Every member answers for their own actions. These terms do not limit liability where the law does not allow it.
Applicable law
These terms apply taking into account the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, in particular the Law of 7 May 2021 No. 99-Z "On the Protection of Personal Data", and the legislation of the Russian Federation, in particular the Federal Law of 27 July 2006 No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data", to the extent that they apply to the member. Every member must follow the laws of their own country.
